How far in advance do you take bookings, and when should I book?

Most couples will book between 12-18 months prior to their wedding date. In saying that, as soon as you have chosen your date, contact us to check our availability.

3

Do you provide a second videographer?  What is the advantage of this?

By default, our packages include a single videographer, however, you can upgrade any of our packages to include a second videographer. Having a second videographer means a few things. Firstly, more coverage and more angles. Having two videographers means we can be in two places at once. Often one of us can be with the bride and one with the groom. Let us know if you'd like to add this to your package.

4

How does the payment work? Do you require a deposit?

We require a $1500 booking fee to secure your date. Once this is received, we block out the whole day and lock it away in our calendar. We have payment plans available, so contact us to work out the best option that works for you. We also accept credit cards so you can claim all of those reward points to use for the honeymoon!

5

When can I expect to see my wedding video?

You can expect to receive your final videos 8-12 weeks from your wedding date. We'll deliver this to you in a beautifully presented online landing page that can be viewed on your TV, phone and computer.

6

Do we have to feed you at the wedding reception?

Yes please!  As weddings are very long days, we do require a meal break. We are fine with vendor meals or whatever you are serving your guests.  I recommend that we be served at the same time as the bride and groom so that when they are done eating, we are done as well and can start filming the next event. If a meal is not provided for us then we require an hour to leave the venue to go get food.

7

Do you back up your video footage?

Absolutely, on the day we have at least 2 cameras for video, usually 3. We also have two or three separate microphones individually recording around the venue during the ceremony and your speeches. We change memory cards often during the day. At the end of the day, your footage is backed up straight away in 2 separate locations.

8

What happens if it rains on my wedding day?

If you've seen the first few seconds of footage on the home page of this website (the shots with the horse!) you'll quickly realise that often rain can give you the most incredible, dreamlike footage. We'll work with you to ensure we find incredible locations that are still stunning. Personally, from a videographers point of view, I've never experienced a rainy day wedding where I've been disappointed with the result, it always gives you extra special moments. It's super important to go into the day with the right mindset though, sometimes is good to think about what is in your control, and what is not - I find it's a good way to break things down.

9

What music do you use for your videos? Can we pick our songs?

By law, music for your videos must be licensed due to copyright. We typically select music from musicbed.com and most couples prefer to have us choose specific songs. We are also more than happy to have you browse musicbed.com and select some song options that you like!

11

How would you describe your style of videography?

We are natural light, cinematic videographers, who focus on capturing authentic moments and connections.  We try to stay perfectly in tangent with your photographers, as we feel this creates the best possible experience for you on your day. We will never have you reenact a first look, first dance, or first kiss-- we believe the most authentic moments come from treating your wedding day as a documentary rather than a production set.

12

Who will be there on the day with us?

We're definitely not one of those studios that will pass you off to some random casual videographer that we've never met before and entrust them with one of the most important days of your life. If you book Wrapped Up Film Co, the owner and lead videographer - me, Joel! - who is in touch with you throughout the whole lead-up to your wedding will be the one there on the day. The only exception to this would be the unlikely circumstance that Joel has some form of emergency (which hasn't happened to date, touch wood!). If this happens, we'll only use the best of the best - we have built up networks with the top wedding videographers in South East Queensland that we'll send on our behalf. In saying that, in the 10+ years of running Wrapped Up Film Co. I haven't missed one - but it's good to have backups in place.

13

What gear do you shoot with?

Canon Cinema C100 mk1

14

Do you capture the audio from our day? And how?

Yes, definitely! We typically place a lav mic on the groom and the celebrant which provides clear audio of everything that is said. In addition to this, we also try to tap into a PA system as a backup recording. We use a similar recording process for the speeches as well, but often attach our mic to the venue's handheld mic if we can't get an audio feed from the venue's system.

15

If we are running behind schedule, will you stay longer than we booked you?

We work with you in selecting a package that best fits your day. Typically, we have not run into any issues, even with weddings running behind schedule. But if something happens and you need us to stay, additional coverage can be added on by the hour at the same rate as when you booked. If things are running behind, we'll always check with you on the night to see what you'd like to do.
